- Teams of 3 (this could be a mix of adults and children). Team members did not need to be members of the club so there was an opportunity for members to introduce friends and family to a fun competition. If you wanted to enter as an individual, the club allocated you to a team.
- The event operated on a handicap system, which differentiated for all abilities.
- The relays started and finished at Southwell Rugby Club and the course was a lap of the perimeter of both rugby pitches.
- The new format involved each runner in the team running a total distance of 3 miles. This was 6 laps of the course (half a mile per lap). Runners could run single laps and then pass on to a team member or run 6 laps in succession. Marshalls were there to assist the counting of the laps.
- The Rugby Club was open from 18.30 for runners to collect their team number and the event started at 19.00 outside the club. Afterwards, the bar was open and chip cobs were on sale. Prizes were awarded to the winning teams.
Thanks to all those who supported this new event.
